Position Summary: Penske is seeking an ambitious Mid Accountant to join our Controllership team. We are looking for an associate that will provide fresh thinking and has the desire to be "best in class." This position has responsibility for daily processes,journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and management reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide expertise and accounting support to our field locations throughout the United Sates as well as internationally. This position will work closely with various departments both within and outside of Controllership, offering support and driving process improvements. Work Location: 2675 Morgantown Road Reading PA, 19607 Work Schedule: 2 days Remote - 3 days onsite (Hybrid) Major Responsibilities: --- Maintain financial recordsincluding but not limited to the areas of fleet services, and operating tax --- Prepare daily and monthly journal entries --- Provide monthly reporting packages for internal customers --- Work with global teams --- Provide support for monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts --- Work with other corporate departments to research and resolve identified variances as needed --- Develop and drive process improvements --- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: --- At least 1 or more years experience in the field of accounting required --- Bachelor's degree in Accounting --- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required --- Experience with AS400 and/or OneStream XF preferred --- Experience in understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statements preferred --- Strong communication and organizational skills required --- Analytical skills required --- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job --- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
