Why Haven of Reading? - - Haven Behavioral Hospital of Reading is an 86 acute-care Joint Commission Accredited psychiatric hospital that offers care for adults dealing with mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders. We are dedicated to partnering with individuals, families, and communities to improve the lives of patients through the delivery of high-quality, specialty behavioral health services. Position Summary: --- Offers financial advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills. - - --- -The liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties. - --- -Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance. - --- Offers Financial Advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills. --- The Liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties. --- Verifies insurance benefits and registers patients using HMS software. --- Knowledge of Behavioral Health carve out insurance and prior authorization/coordination of benefits. --- -Bilingual (Spanish) required. --- -Monday thru Friday Day Schedule. - Education: -High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Experience: Six (6) months previous hospital registration, billing and collections, financial counseling, and/or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance (Medicare, HMOs, PPOs, commercial), EMTALA regulations, hospital billing and collection process.
