Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services is seeking a dedicated Operations Site
Manager for our Transfer Operations sector. In this role, you will
oversee all operational aspects of our waste transfer stations,
focusing on optimizing processes and ensuring environmental
compliance. Join our team in the dynamic Northeast region and help
us maintain our reputation as a leader in non-hazardous waste
management solutions. This opportunity allows you to contribute to
operational excellence and environmental sustainability while
leading a team committed to service quality. Manage daily
operations of waste transfer stations, ensuring compliance with
local, state and federal regulations. Develop and implement
operational procedures to increase efficiency and meet or exceed
safety and environmental standards. Oversee the maintenance and
operation of site equipment and facilities. Manage site staff,
including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Prepare operational reports and analyses setting forth progress and
adverse trends; provide appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Liaise with community leaders, environmental groups, and the public
to maintain positive relations and address concerns. Monitor
budgets and control expenses with a focus on waste reduction and
cost efficiency. Proven leadership and management skills Strong
understanding of operational compliance within waste management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with
process improvement and workplace safety Proficiency in
industry-specific software and technology Medical Insurance Dental

Manager (CWM) preferred OSHA Safety Certification or equivalent
Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)
