Mechanic, and Facilities Mechanic Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Purpose
of Position: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the
maintenance team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable
operation of all egg grading and material handling equipment, as
well as the upkeep and repair of Westfield’s facilities. This role
blends hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership and
planning to minimize downtime, support production goals, and build
a proactive maintenance culture that reflects Westfield’s
commitment to excellence and stewardship. Essential

best course of action. Essential Duties: Lead, train, and mentor
the maintenance team to ensure high performance and accountability.
Organize and coordinate daily maintenance activities, assigning
work and setting priorities based on production schedules. Develop
and oversee preventive maintenance programs that reduce downtime
and improve reliability. Develop and utilize a process for
receiving and executing maintenance requests. Ensure proper
documentation of maintenance work, parts usage, and equipment
history. Monitor equipment performance and partner with operations
to schedule repairs and improvements. Maintain accurate parts
inventory and manage supplier relationships. Support installation,
modification, and improvement projects for equipment and
facilities. Promote and enforce safety standards, ensuring a clean,
compliant, and organized work environment. Build strong
communication channels with Production, Operations, and Leadership
teams. Perform hands-on maintenance work as needed to diagnose
complex problems and train staff. Ensure all maintenance equipment
continues to work reliably and efficiently. Discover and oversee
opportunities for innovation and improvement in equipment and
processes. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Work Schedule: Regular work hours are Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM,
or during grading hours. Occasional Saturdays may be required for
maintenance, repairs, or grading. Must be present during grading
hours unless prior arrangements are made. Flexibility with breaks
and meals is required to allow for equipment maintenance when
grading is not in progress. Requirements: Prior leadership
experience in a maintenance or production environment. Strong
technical (running to specification), mechanical, and
troubleshooting skills; electrical and pneumatic experience
preferred. Strong drive to “get it right”, ensuring repairs,
maintenance, and projects meet the highest standards of performance
and reliability. Ability to train and motivate team members toward
shared goals. Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics,
and maintenance documentation. Organized, detail-oriented, and
capable of managing multiple priorities. Proficient in English
reading, writing, and communication. Ability to perform basic math
calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers,
fractions, and decimals. Complete support of and adherence to

Requirements / Environmental Conditions: This position requires
frequent standing and movement throughout the facility, with
occasional walking, climbing stairs or ladders, reaching, handling
objects, and communicating. Sitting may be required at times.
Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, as
well as the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may
involve occasional exposure to airborne particles, chemicals,
outdoor weather conditions, moving machinery, vibration, and
temperature extremes. Noise levels typically range from moderate to
