Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance
of large production machinery and perform general maintenance and
repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing,
electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other
building systems. Will also be responsible for small to mid-sized
projects related to safety and environmental management. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time
with or without notice. ??Performs preventive maintenance
inspections and service on machines. -Scheduling and performing
routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure
optimal performance. ??Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary
repairs. ??Installing, modifying, and relocating machinery and
equipment. ??Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
??Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on
machines. ??Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing
parts and reinstalling as necessary. ??Oils and lubricates moving
parts on machines to ensure effective performance. ??Records and
reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. ??Identifies the causes of
unexpected breakdowns of machines. ??Prepares reports documenting
work performed. - Maintaining accurate records of work performed,
including repairs, maintenance, and inventory. ??Performs routine
maintenance on building systems. ??Adhering to safety regulations
and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. ??Under the
direction of the EH&S Specialist, will manage small to
mid-sized projects such as safety policy implementation or
waist/scrap measurement, recording, reporting, and disposal. ??Will
actively participate in the facility's Safety Committee. ??Plans
repair work using the building's blueprints or equipment manual as
needed. ??Performs general repairs that do not require a
specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall,
painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. ??Orders
supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
??Cleans, maintains shop areas, including organizing, stocking, and
inventorying parts, tools, and supplies. ??Working effectively with
other team members, including production personnel and other
maintenance staff. ??Responding to emergency requests for repairs
and replacements. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each ESSENTIAL DUTY

Skills/Abilities: ??Technical Skills: Strong understanding of
mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
??Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex
technical issues. ??Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to work with tools
and equipment, and a natural inclination towards mechanical tasks.
??Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with
team members and supervisors. ??Organizational Skills: Ability to
manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. ??Safety Knowledge:
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. ??Physical
Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to work in
various environments. Education and Experience: • Some vocational
or community college with related coursework or equivalent
experience, required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PHYSICAL
DEMANDS ??Prolonged periods standing and walking. ??Able to bend,
stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and
service machinery. ??Must be able to visually inspect machines.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT
??The role is based in a manufacturing/factory environment and may
involve exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, and varying
temperatures depending on the season. ??Employees may be required
to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the
shift. ??Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety
glasses, gloves, earplugs, and steel-toed bor may be required,
depending on the task. ??Work is typically done indoors, but some
positions may involve occasional outdoor work or exposure to open
loading docks. ??Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, and
overtime depending on production needs. ??The pace can be fast and
may involve repetitive tasks or working with machinery. Carel is an
