Estimator procures projects and either stays involved in the
management of the jobs or hands off to project management team.
Responsibilities include: Perform analysis of potential projects to
identify opportunities for bidding and develop, maintain and grow
relationships with general contractors, owners, consultants, and
developers. Perform material and labor takeoff from electronic and
paper project documents and site visits. Identify needs for
subcontractors and develop a labor plan to perform the work and
calculate requisite costs. Research building systems,
manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors to identify exact
needs and pricing of the project requirements. Compile a
comprehensive price proposal and scope of work to present to
clients. Direct support staff to create an accurate submittal
package and work with vendors to obtain the required construction
elements. Coordinate with field superintendents to communicate the
