Job Description Job Description General Contractor specializing in Multifamily rehabs/renovations looking for an Estimator with experience working on large-scale Multifamily Construction projects. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for all estimating and budget development to include: Unit quantity estimates and pricing of the work for entire project Soliciting vendors (RFP’s) and subcontractors for proposals for the construction work Reviewing plans to develop and clarify scope of work Reviewing and comparing the scope of work and pricing for the vendor proposals Negotiating subcontractor agreements Reviewing & negotiating change order requests Preparing monthly construction draw requests Developing historical cost data base Additional responsibilities to include: Complete material and labor unit quantity takeoffs using corporate guidelines Analyze quantity takeoffs and unit costs for all trades including site work and vertical construction. Understand unit costing and quantity estimating of construction materials. Assist in the feasibility, value engineering, bidding, and contracting process. Assist the Senior Project Manager in creating contractor bid packages for the projects. Assist in the negotiations of pricing and quantities with multiple contractors to obtain the best pricing for the highest quality materials and services. Conduct unit costs analysis. Develop a unit cost data base.
