Job Description Job Description Position Summary: The Education
and Outreach Manager provides for the development, coordination,
documentation, and supervision of all educational and outreach
activities and events undertaken by Philadelphia Coordinated Health
Care (PCHC). The Education and Outreach Manager works as a team
with PCHC’s Quality Administrator, reports to the Director of PCHC,
and supervises the Community Outreach Department. The Education and
Outreach Manager works cooperatively with all five County Offices
of Intellectual Disabilities and the Southeastern Regional Office
of Developmental Programs (ODP) to determine training priorities,
plan training activities and coordinate outreach initiatives. The
Education and Outreach Manager works with all PCHC staff to arrange
for appropriate presenters for training sessions and, when needed,
with outside consultants providing specific expertise. The
Education and Outreach Manager represents PCHC at meetings
concerning training activities in any of the five southeastern
region counties. The Education and Outreach Manager is also
responsible for designing, with the PCHC Quality Administrator,
methods for documenting training sessions and attendance and
developing presentation formats for this information. The Education
and Outreach Manager is responsible for working with the
appropriate departments to capture the HCQU training data required
for the ODP HCQU reporting requirements. In conjunction with the
Quality Management Department, the Education and Outreach Manager
is responsible for providing summaries of training activities,
analysis of that data, and developing outcomes measures to gauge
the effectiveness and quantity of training provided. The Education
and Outreach Manager will also develop alternative methods of
providing education such as on-line training and webinars. Finally
the Education and Outreach Manager will outreach to and interface
with health related institutions of higher learning to a.)
Interview, hire and supervise interns to work with PCHC and the
intellectual disabilities/Autism service system, and b.) to
encourage those institutions to include training about people with
intellectual disabilities/Autism in their curriculum. Duties and
Responsibilities: Maintain ongoing relationships with all Southeast
Regional County Administrative Entity (AE) Offices to develop
training priorities on an annual basis Monitor requests for
training Create a schedule of training activities Ensure that all
trainings and information are kept up to date Ensure that all
trainers, including yourself, are ready and prepared for training
sessions On-line training management and oversight Organize and
manage all training database entries Develop with the data manager
methods of tracking training provided and attendance Create
standardized formats for reporting on training activities Create
outcomes measures to determine effectiveness of training and
quantity of training provided with the Quality Management
Department Oversee the creation of training flyers, consistent
descriptions and timely training announcements Create and maintain
training syllabus for health-related topics offered by PCHC
Interface with community health care organizations requesting
training and outreach Organize PCHC’s participation in all
Community Events, Health Fairs and Conferences as requested
Organize training events associated with outside funding sources
including grant and contract-based activities Develop relationships
with local health related institutions of higher learning to
promote knowledge of people with intellectual/developmental
disabilities and autism Interview, hire and supervise all interns
working with PCHC Oversight and management of on-line training,
promote alternative methods of providing training such as web
based, and webinars using utilizing Zoom and alternative virtual
platforms. Interface with all PCHC staff in relation to training
activities and outreach initiatives Ensure completion of all
Community Outreach activities, projects and initiatives Oversee the
social media publications and posts from the Outreach Department
Work with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting
of monthly data to the AE and ODP according to the ODP HCQU
reporting requirements. Skills Required: Expertise in presenting
and developing training activities Excellent speaking and written
skills Knowledge of community health care Experience in working
with people with intellectual disabilities and autism Social Media
experience Data collection and analysis Organizational skills
Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree in education,
training or related field, Masters Level preferred Three years
experience in Intellectual Disabilities/Autism or related field
Experience in training and organization of training activities and
outreach Supervisory experience (3-5 years) Prior Event planning
