Description:

• Design mechanical components of a ruggedized display - chassis, bezel, & reinforcements to meet Mil Standard specs in regards to vibration & shock, light weight hammer tests, and barge tests
• Proactively work with cross functional Electrical and Optical/Display Engineers to drive current & next generation ruggedized display solutions
• Design communization and integration of commercial displays into ruggedized products
• Define mechanical specifications and test plans
• Investigate and stay up-to-date on current & future enclosures for LCD and OLED displays
• Generate technical specifications for RFQs to suppliers
• Generate acceptance test procedures for qualification of finished product
• Create test plans - test setup & procedure, document, and test reports
• Design verification using semi and fully automated methods
• Perform Qualification & Acceptance Testing
• Create project plans, schedules, & cost estimates
• Understand end user requirements and applicationsSkills:
  • Design, Creo, fea analysisAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
    • 4-year degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
    • Basic understanding of metal (steel & aluminum) - forming, press brake, & machining
