Strong benefits and compensation package for the right candidate.Required Experience: Designs systems and develops code for complex automation projects. Work closely with Engineering to define system control needs. Interfaces with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT and other departments, to ensure successful implementation and traceability of automated systems. Monitors areas where product, process and cost-improvements are attainable; recommends and implements new processes to obtain scrap reduction, improved throughput and reduced cost to meet company goals. Seeks ways to improve the manufacturing process by initiating projects. Supports continuous improvement activities throughout the Plant by suggesting electronic controls. Develops, maintains, troubleshoots and monitors programmable logic controller (PLC ) to support manufacturing processes, equipment, robotic devices, or other activities that could benefit from automation. Analyzes wiring schematics, control drawings, plant records, quality standards and electrical prints to implement automation projects. Ensures data collection, reporting and traceability on applicable systems. Supports configuration and integration of new equipment that arrives in the facility per the following specifics; Ability to communicate successfully in a team environment. Ability to acquire a thorough knowledge of procedures, policies and functions that apply to the position as assigned. Ability to adapt quickly to constant priority/deadline changes and move between assignments efficiently. Ability to perform self-directed work to fulfill schedule. Ability to follow nuclear protocols and adhere to ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 requirements. Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities, and to perform complex tasks efficiently, accurately and on time. Experience in starting and implementing controls systems and automation. Experience supporting these systems in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of project management and management of technical integrators Knowledge of manufacturing control systems, PLC's System communications, Manufacturing Execution Systems. Knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic and structured text language. Integration experience between machines on the production floor and higher-level systems for data collection & traceability. Experience working with servomotors including set up and troubleshooting. Experience with vision systems / vision sensors / barcode readers, integration, troubleshooting Demonstrated analytical thinking to troubleshoot complex problems. Desire to learn and integrate new systems into existing manufacturing, and be a technical leader. Ability to work through and around roadblocks as they come up. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent plus 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SQL, Access Database and Excel . Visual System Reporting Metrics. Experience in a production automation role preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job may require lifting 30 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Ability to move throughout the Plant to complete job duties. Vision to read and analyze reports and perform data entry. Manual dexterity to perform job duties.
