What are we looking for? The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer uses preventative and predictive maintenance techniques to safely maximize plant uptime by minimizing unplanned equipment breakdown using. In this role you will lead and drive the continuous improvement efforts that impact plant reliability and conversion cost. You will also plan and direct activities for the maintenance organization; develop a long-range strategy, establish standards, and improve, maintain, and repair facilities and equipment to ensure optimal reliability and lowest life cycle cost. What you'll own in this role: Manage the preventive maintenance (PM) program and work with production and engineering to develop and maintain current PM procedures and schedules that "add value" to the plant Manage all facilities maintenance including buildings, yards, grounds, and contract services associated with facilities and plant maintenance Establish and continually refine the plant's long term maintenance strategy and improvement plan, including managing the maintenance work planning function and the maintenance scheduling function Serve as the plant's Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) resource and supports the implementation of TPM initiatives including autonomous operator maintenance Develop and implement planning and scheduling standards and procedures for the plant; define and manage the training needs for maintenance personnel and develop an associated training plan Track and publish standardized maintenance performance metrics on a routine basis consistent with company requirements and align maintenance performance indicators with overall business key performance indicators Work with plant production, engineering, and EHS personnel to ensure that management of change (MOC) and mechanical integrity (MI) requirements which support OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management (PSM) are complied with Manage the predictive maintenance (PDM) function and ensure that economically viable maintenance technologies that result in reduced plant downtime are implemented in the plant Utilize the "reliability centered maintenance" (RCM) methodology to ensure that the optimal maintenance practices are applied to each critical asset based upon its operating context Participate in the development of the plant's capital spending budget and site plan Work with planners, supervisors, and engineers to review equipment history files and assess plant equipment reliability. Formulate action plans to address unreliable equipment Manage and administer the plant's CMMS (Limble) and ensure that its use is optimized to control cost and boost reliability What you have already achieved: BS degree in Engineering 5 years' experience in Maintenance in a chemical, plastics, oil & gas, or similar facility Process Safety Management Knowledge Experience with CMMS systems for work order tracking, inventory management, and PM tracking Experience with reliability-based maintenance approaches and predictive maintenance technologies Demonstrated project management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills Why Synthomer?
