The Transducer Reliability Engineer will provide reliability
input/analysis as an important part of a multi-disciplined product
development team helping to bring leading edge medical ultrasound
products to market and improving healthcare worldwide.
You are responsible for
Contributing as a key member of new product development teams to
ensure the reliability of new and modified transducer products.
Responsible for guiding the new product development and sustaining
change teams to meet product reliability goals.
Participates in the development of design specifications and
verification test plans and reports.
Responsible for developing Reliability Plans for each development
project, creating Reliability Growth Test Plans and Reports and
tracking initial field reliability metrics.
Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate
reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could
adversely affect field reliability.
Facilitate DFMEA and Safety Risk analysis.
Works with the Transducer Service Repair function to understand and
track field failure modes, determine root cause of failure and
coordinates the development of engineering solutions to repetitive
failures and other problems that adversely affect product
reliability and the customer experience.
Structured Problem-solving techniques: Fault Tree, 5 Why,
Problem/solution Definition Weibull analysis
Data analysis techniques: Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root
Cause Analysis (RCA)Reliability Modeling/Prediction
You are part of
Our talented, industry leading Ultrasound Transducer R&D team,
which is responsible for the complete product development life
cycle, working cross-functionally with each of the Business
Segments- Cardiology, General Imaging, Value Segment, Ultra Mobile,
and Service, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Regulatory, and
Business Development. Engineers work with a focus on total customer
solutions across a wide range of clinical applications, a diverse
set of geographies, and a full range of price-performance levels
for Ultrasound Systems.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and
the following
Minimum of a BS in: Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability,
Industrial, Systems, Quality or other related Engineering
disciplines
Minimum 5+years' experience in Reliability engineering, test and
analysis
ASQ Certified Reliability or Quality Engineering Certification a
Plus
Experience in: HALT, HASS, SPC, MTBF, DFMEA, Root Cause/Failure
Analysis, Weibull
Experience in a Regulated product development environment- Medical
Device (preferred), Aerospace, Consumer, DOD, Automotive,
etc---
Structured Problem-solving techniques: Fault Tree, 5 Why,
Problem/solution Definition Weibull analysis
Data analysis techniques: Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root
Cause Analysis (RCA) Reliability Modeling/Prediction
