- The Co-op term is from August, 2025 to January, 2026
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week)Purpose:The MAM (MAKE
Asset Management) organization operates as one integrated team in
the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems
solutions. The Execution Systems (ES) team consists of automation
professionals focused on implementing and maintaining automated
manufacturing systems.You will be responsible for:This role
provides an opportunity for students to apply their technical
knowledge in a practical setting passionate about automation and
process optimization. In this position, the individual will work
with the Senior Automation Engineer and take charge and learn about
various operational technology (OT) topics such as network
infrastructure, data collection\analysis, and control systems.
- Automation Development: Work with the SCS engineering team to
create and implement automation solutions that help reduce downtime
and improve process quality.
- System Optimization: Use AI and machine learning techniques to
analyze and enhance existing systems and workflows. This includes
finding ways to automate tasks that can lead to better efficiency
and reliability.
- Data Management: Assist with data analytics to support projects
that focus on optimizing supply chain processes. This involves
helping gather and analyze data to provide useful insights for
decision-making.
- Hands-On Experience: Gain practical experience with various
automation technologies and lab systems in a welcoming
environment.Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited
University is required.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
(Automation, Electrical, Chemical or a related field) or have
equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to industrial automation or control systems (PLCs,
DCS, SCADA).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on
projects.
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python,
SQL, ladder logic).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational
planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require
sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the
time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT,
OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term
employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless
eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require
company sponsorship.Preferred:
- Previous internships or co-op experience in a related
engineering field.
- Data analytics tools and methodologies (Power BI, Tableau,
Minitab).
- Clear understanding of Lean/Continuous improvement concepts.The
anticipated base pay for this position is between $22.00/hr and
$51.50/hr, but will be based on candidate's program year,
discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime
eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company
employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time,
holiday pay, and the Company's consolidated retirement plan in
accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend
