Job Description Job Description Description We are seeking a
skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our specialized laboratory
service team. While we specialize in high-end equipment, including
Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) systems , we are specifically looking
for a strong "standard" refrigeration mechanic who is eager to be
trained in this high-stakes, technical niche. This is a highly
autonomous, field-based role where you will serve as the primary
point of contact for our clients. You will work directly with
professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and university
sectors, ensuring their critical research environments and
life-saving samples remain stable. Key Responsibilities Field
Service Excellence: Operate independently to provide on-site
diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for a variety of laboratory
systems. Specialized Refrigeration: Service commercial-grade
laboratory refrigeration, including walk-in cold rooms,
environmental rooms, and environmental test chambers. ULT Training:
Receive specialized training to service Ultra-Low Temperature
systems (ranging from –85°ree;C to –150°ree;C ) and
cascade refrigeration units. Compliance & Precision: Perform
services with a strict focus on ISO calibrations . You must be
meticulously detail-oriented, ensuring all documentation and "T’s
are crossed and I’s are dotted" to meet rigorous laboratory
standards. Client Consultation: Clearly communicate technical
issues to end-users and represent the company with the highest
level of integrity. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Core
Experience: Solid commercial refrigeration service background.
Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities across
mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Independence: Proven
ability to work with minimal supervision while managing a regional
service territory across NJ, PA, and DE. Professionalism:
Exceptional "soft skills" with a socially adept, customer-facing
personality. EPA Universal Certification or OEM training. Previous
experience in "clean" or regulated environments (Pharma, Biotech,
Hospitals, or Research Universities). Experience with environmental
test chambers or steam-based systems (autoclaves/washers) is a
plus. Exposure to ULT freezers is a bonus, but not required— we
will train the right person.
