Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting the overall Hersheypark maintenance project management functions.*Job Functions* (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):* Assist in the creation of the annual budget. Make recommendations and monitor the progress of projects to avoid scope creep as well as keep them on schedule and within budget. Advocate and explain the need for funding or resource changes when necessary.\** Assist in procuring materials through company approved vendors that are project specific, create and deliver Request for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors, and coordinate the use of outside contractors.\** Prepare quantity estimates from Architectural Drawings. Resolve quantity discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.\** Participate in Maintenance Department Manager on Duty rotations, various complex and corporate committees, and departmental strategic planning initiatives.\** Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, assist in the oversight of health and safety practices and procedures in areas of responsibility, and ensure that all necessary training programs have been offered in accordance with government regulations and/or company policy.\** Ensure consistency in enforcement of Company and Department policies and procedures.\** Gather costs, available vendors, timelines, and other pertinent information for project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed for amusement attractions, restaurant/games/office buildings and Stadium/Arena upgrades, and new construction.\** Monitor and report on all aspects of upcoming and ongoing projects to keep on budget and on time. Communicate with multiple stakeholders and trades to keep all informed throughout project timelines.\** Perform other duties as assigned.*Basic Qualifications: ** Minimum of 4 years of related experience.* 18 years of age or older.* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.* Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.* Must have a valid Driver's License* Bachelor's degree - Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering* Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 6 years* Completion of high school or GED*Additional Qualifications: ** Strong organization and time management skills* Proficient Plan/ print reading skills.* Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.* Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.* Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.*Physical Demands & Working Conditions** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:* Climbing Ladders Occasional (* Reaching Forward Occasional (* Climbing Stairs Frequent (34-66%) (300ft maximum height)* Lifting Occasional (* Reaching Overhead Occasional (* Finger Dexterity Frequent (34-66%)* Hand/Eye Coordination Occasional (* Stooping Occasional (* Bending Occasional (* Sitting Frequent (34-66%)* Standing Frequent (34-66%)* Walking Frequent (34-66%)* This job requires a good sense of vision (either corrected or uncorrected).
