(Hershey, PA, Cincinnati, OH, or Bentonville, AR) or will consider
remote Summary The Sr. Manager of Human Insights, ReSET (Retail
Shopper Experience Team) will develop and deliver best in class
insights, within a center of excellence (COE) function. They will
manage and coach a high performing team of 3 insight professionals
responsible for the key areas of business across all classes of
trade. They partner with ReSET, Category Management and Sales teams
to drive insights to action and help profitably grow business for
Hershey, the category and retailers through physical and digital
shelf and distribution strategies, next generation space
initiatives and advanced capabilities. Responsibilities Drive
Insights to Action In collaboration with ReSET, Category Management
and Sales teams, identify learning needs, and develop and execute a
yearly Human Insights plan that helps drive incremental and
accretive growth for Hershey and our retailer partners. Coach team
on research projects, while also managing individual research
projects from start to finish. Meet with key stakeholder to outline
objectives Determine methodology and research suppliers Manage
research suppliers Analyze and translate insights to business and
channels Identify additional relevant information sources
(behavioral, secondary, previous primary research, etc.) to enhance
insights Deliver unbiased action-oriented recommendations and
partner with other ReSET teams to develop and deploy solutions to
customers and bring to life in Hershey's Innovation Centers
Champion Human Insights Ensure insights are at the heart of
strategies and initiatives with our internal and external customer
teams, by staying closely connected to key ReSET partners, to
proactively identify business opportunities and provide insights
and recommendations as needed through previous research, panel
data, or commissions new research. Is a subject matter expert (SME)
on the COE pillars they support, and coaches and develops team to
be SMEs on their respective COE pillar. Support Category Management
and Sales teams by providing insights and/or presenting at customer
innovation center meetings (HIN), and other key meetings.
Communicate the Human Insights team priorities and initiatives to
leaders on a quarterly basis and at key meetings. Development of
Human Insights Team & Self Coach and develop a team of 3, through
guidance on methodologies, project management, analysis, and
storytelling / presentation skills. Continuously look for ways to
expand knowledge of new insight methods and storytelling approaches
and share with Human Insights team. Minimum knowledge, skills and
abilities required to successfully perform major
duties/responsibilities: Proven track record of hiring, managing,
and developing a high performing team Intellectual curiosity
Strategic business acumen / customer-first mindset Impactful
communication and storytelling skills using insights and data
Strong collaborator and ability to build dynamic relationships
Comfortable interacting with internal and external partners at both
junior and senior levels Advanced understanding of qualitative and
quantitative research methods Project management and organizational
skills Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required;
advanced degrees preferred but not necessary 8+ years of
progressive experience in Shopper and/or Consumer Insights 2+ years
of people management experience Extensive experience with
qualitative and quantitative research methods Preferred experience
with panel data such as Numerator, Nielsen, IRI and/or retail
loyalty data 30 - 40% travel required Why this role may be for
