Requisition Number 18-0072 Post Date 12/3/2018 Title CLM - Clinical Manager Work Hours 9am-5pm City Reading State PA Description InVision Human Services is a Non-Profit organization focused in providing specialized direct support to individuals with physical and mental disabilities. We utilize a restraint-free, person centered approach to help each person supported achieve his/her goals. InVision is currently seeking a Full-Time Clinical Manager to support our eastern region.

Responsible for the clinical and therapeutic support needs of all people receiving residential services by ensuring full implementation of clinical systems within InVision Customized Services. Ensures the understanding, adherence, and commitment to the organization's philosophy and mission, by employees at all levels through the development of systems, processes, and procedures. Ensures independence and empowerment of those supported are always a priority. Responsible to oversee the development of customized plans of support for people with an array of diagnoses which may include developmental disabilities, problematic sexual behavior, autism, and other cognitive disabilities often co-occurring with complex psychiatric or medical diagnoses. Supervises the clinical staff within the assigned region.


Mission and Philosophy

--- Implements, continuously reviews, and updates all clinical systems to ensure InVision's mission and philosophy are integrated into all aspects of services.
--- Ensures the development and full implementation of the customized support plan, providing a foundation for understanding and implementation of the organization's positive approaches philosophy.
--- Through collaboration, ensures a team approach is utilized involving internal and external stakeholders when determining the support needs of the individuals supported.
--- Acts at all times in congruence with the mission of InVision Customized Services; is committed to the well-being of the people supported and staff; is actively engaged in seeking out ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of services, consistent with established values and strategic objectives.
--- Creates and maintains effective interpersonal working relationships

Licensing and Contractual Compliance

--- Ensures documentation submitted by the organization to outside entities (administrative entities, support coordination units, managed care companies) related to the support needs of the people we serve is respectfully presented, provides a holistic view of the people we support, describes behavioral trends and the meaning behind behavioral concerns and is in congruence with the organization's philosophy and mission.
--- Ensures, through modeling, mentoring, guidance, and feedback, that employees' approach to services are congruent with the needs, wants and desires of each person and the policies and procedures of InVision Customized Services.
--- Conducts quarterly analysis of incident reports, debriefings, personal restraint reporting, psychiatric PRN administration, and restrictive procedures, making recommendations to respective teams regarding trends and reduction strategies, if appropriate.
--- Accepts ownership of and assures that relevant information, including but not limited to, senior management decisions, new initiatives, policies and procedures, is properly communicated to program staff. Provides guidance, manages perceptions, and ensures staff understanding and compliance.


--- Interviews and recommends hiring; orients, and schedules all appropriate training of clinical specialists.
--- Maximizes staff performance by providing ongoing feedback, development, and training as needed. Conducts performance evaluations.
--- Engages in effective communication by requesting, receiving, and providing feedback to other members of the team, including but not limited to, direct support professionals, program specialists, clinicians, managers, and directors.

Financial Management

--- Reviews and verifies financial information such as payroll, expense and mileage submissions.
--- Reports immediately any discrepancies related to the use of personal or company funds.
--- Performs other duties as requested by the Director, Clinical Operations; attends and/or conducts meetings; prepares reports; completes surveys and forms as required.


Supervises clinical specialists within the assigned region.

Master's degree in social services or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. The incumbent must have a minimum of five years' experience which includes
working knowledge of current philosophies and previous experience in the area of supporting people with developmental disabilities and significant behavioral concerns using non-restrictive, positive, person directed supports. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

--- Periodic travel throughout Pennsylvania
--- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
--- Customer oriented (internal and external) with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
--- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and the community.
--- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or Boards of Directors.
--- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
--- Ability to analyze complex funding and budgetary relationships.
--- Logical thinking and analytical skills required
