THE POSITION
Are you motivated and dependable and enjoy working with numbers,
financial records and making sure everything balances; if so, CMSU
needs you.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This full-time position provides clerical-accounting work involving
the application of bookkeeping principles and practices; standard
bookkeeping duties in recording, reviewing and processing financial
records and documents. Work involves maintaining bookkeeping
records and classifying accounting documents prior to posting;
entry of accounts payable invoices and printing of checks on a
weekly basis. This position will also process and verify employee
expense reports. Work also involves the processing and maintenance
of a payroll of 150+ employees, including posting changes, auditing
for completeness, entering and reviewing input and output from the
payroll system. This position will also assist Human Resources with
process employee information, record keeping and filing.
CMSU offers a competitive salary, employer paid health and vision
insurance and makes numerous supplemental insurances available to
full time staff. After six months of employment, CMSU provides
pension contribution, life insurance and long-term disability.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ FULL TIME FISCAL TECHNICIAN POSITION, ANNUAL STARTING SALARY
$36,605; 40 HRS/WK, 8 hours/day, total 80 hours bi-wkly.
+ Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a
30-minute lunch.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be
non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving
the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year
of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or
fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high
school;or
+ One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal
records and an associate degree in accounting or business
administration; or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
