Responsibilities The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic sleep disorder testing and diagnostic EEG testing. The Respiratory Care Practitioner reviews existing clinical data and collects additional pertinent data. He or she evaluates all data to determine the appropriateness of the prescribed respiratory care and participates in the development and delivery of the respiratory care plan. Qualifications Education Requirements *Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program approved by the CoARC (Required) *Minimum Contact Hours per year 15 (Required) *Other Education: RPSGT (Required when working in sleep lab) Certification and Licensure Requirements *AAST RPSGT LICENSE (Required for sleep or must be obtained within one year of beginning of employment) *CPR Certification (Required) *NBRC RESPIRATORY THERAPIST REGISTRATION (Required) *PA RESPIRATORY THERAPIST LICENSE (Required) Recommended skills Clinical Works Electroencephalography Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Testing Registration Respiratory Therapy
