The duties of the position are but not limited to the following: Proper animal restraint (dogs, cats, lizards, pocket pets) Obtain blood samples via jugular vein, cephalic vein & lateral saphenous vein Perform fecal tests, urinalysis, ear cytologies and blood smears Perform diagnostic x-rays (radiographs) Perform in-house chemistries and CBCs Administration of medications (Sub Q, IV, PO and IM) Place IV catheters Administer fluid therapy Assisting doctors with performing dental prophylaxis and surgeries Administration of anesthetic drugs and gases Prepping patients for surgery Monitoring patients during surgery and post-op Recovery of patients after surgery Maintain medical records Invoicing of services Perform nail trims, ear cleanings, light grooming and anal gland expression Clean cages and litter pans Feeding and walking hospitalized patients Maintain cleanliness of the hospital Client education Salary: up to $17.00 /hour Please complete our full application on www.hamiltonanimalcare.com Hamilton Animal Care, LLC is a state-of-the-art animal hospital equipped with the most advanced veterinary medical and surgical equipment.
