We don't just treat the symptoms of mental illness or addiction; our care focuses on the whole person.Position Summary: Initial psychiatric evaluations Work collaboratively with other disciplines to create individualized treatment plans Develop appropriated medication regiment based on the patient's history and symptoms Working closely with the patient and program staff to help enhance medication adherence through client staff education, one-to-one and/or group interventions with the patient and monitoring the medication procedures in place at the respective programFacilitating patient linkage to community-based Primary Care providersCommunicating and working with other community-based physicians Education: License in the state of PA as a MD or DO, specializing in Psychiatry and GeriatricsBoard Certified or Board Eligible Experience:At least two years' experience working as an MD/DO with mental health adult population in an acute care setting preferred.Experience with the facility population strongly desired. Strong background in pharmacology with focus in psychopharmacology and drug interactions.
