Our dedication to our team's professional growth and work-life balance makes us an Employer of Choice.Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.Use standardized tests, observations, and patient/family interviews to diagnose communication and swallowing disorders.Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, patient goals, and clinical judgment.Set realistic, measurable short-term and long-term goals for each patient.Provide evidence-based speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy.Implement therapy techniques and strategies tailored to each patients specific needs.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.Prepare and submit required reports to healthcare providers, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies.Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dietitians.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education, support, and strategies for carryover of skills outside of therapy sessions.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development.Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, including those set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing boards.Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and in-service training sessions.All other duties as assignedQualifications:Qualifications of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Licensed or Eligible for licensure in the state in which practicing.Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or be completing the ASHA Clinical Fellowship Year requirements.by Jobble
