Position Summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract in Reading, PA. The therapist will provide high-quality respiratory care across the patient lifespan, from neonates to geriatrics, in a collaborative acute care environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, clinically experienced, and comfortable working night shifts with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: • Administer nebulizer treatments and Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs) • Initiate and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation (neonatal through geriatric) • Perform arterial blood gas collection, analysis, and interpretation • Assist with intubations, bedside bronchoscopies, and tracheostomy care • Support internal patient transport and emergency respiratory procedures • Deliver bronchopulmonary hygiene and high-flow oxygen therapy • Document all care accurately and comply with facility protocols Required Qualifications: • Active Pennsylvania RRT license (or in process; 6–8 weeks for issuance) • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (American Heart Association) • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy • Proficiency in Epic (preferred) • Must pass EKG test on first day • Must work every 3rd weekend • Black scrubs required • No on-call; 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) • COVID and flu vaccinations required (no declinations accepted) About MedCadre At MedCadre, headquartered in Irvine, California and serving healthcare organizations nationwide, we connect exceptional clinicians with world-class career opportunities while upholding the highest standards of ethics, fairness, and integrity.
