This position offers flexible scheduling typical of PRN roles, allowing you to work when available, with a focus on administering patient care in an oncology setting, managing symptoms of cancer treatment, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient or inpatient setting. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer chemotherapy and other medications following safety protocols. Monitor patient reactions to treatments and communicate necessary changes to the care plan. Educate patients and families on treatment expectations, side effects, and self-management techniques. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all hospital and regulatory requirements. Strong clinical skills with a focus on oncology care Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred but not required
