Job Description:

Encompass Health Mechanicsburg is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional care focusing on therapy for patients recovering from life-changing illnesses and injuries. As a key component of our interdisciplinary team, the Speech Pathologist will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders to enhance their communication effectiveness and swallowing functionality. This role demands a compassionate approach and a high level of clinical knowledge to assist patients in achieving their highest level of independence and performance. Conduct patient evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs. Implement therapeutic interventions for managing speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Measure outcomes and adjust interventions to maximize patient effectiveness and recovery. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care. Educate patients and families on communication techniques and strategies to cope with speech and language impediments. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, and comply with all legal and ethical requirements. Strong understanding of speech-language pathology practices and principles Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team setting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
