MedStar Health, an eminent not-for-profit health organization serving the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is looking for a dedicated RN Case Manager Utilization to join our compassionate team. This role involves comprehensive management of patient care, focusing on optimizing patient outcomes through effective utilization of healthcare resources. The candidate will be instrumental in assessing patient needs, planning and coordinating patient care processes, and ensuring that each patient receives the appropriate level of care. Assess patient care needs and develop individualized care plans. Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure necessary procedures are covered and executed. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed. Facilitate patient discharge planning, ensuring a safe and efficient transition from the hospital to the next level of care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, condition, progress, and care plans in compliance with regulatory standards. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of healthcare processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Expertise in care coordination and resource utilization. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Proficient in healthcare information systems. Understanding of insurance guidelines and regulations related to medical treatments. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C. Certification in Case Management (CCM) preferred.
