Requisition Number 18-0079 Post Date 12/19/2018 Title Clinical Specialist Work Hours 9am-5pm City Reading State PA Description InVision Human Services is a non-profit organization focused in providing specialized direct support to individuals with challenging physical, intellectual, and mental disabilities. We utilize a restraint-free, person centered approach to help each of our clients achieve their goals. InVision HS is currently seeking a Clinical Specialist for our Residential Living Program to support our continued growth in Eastern Pennsylvania.
--- Ensures people are supported in a manner which honors the company's mission and philosophy through developing the customized support plan (CSP) and training the direct support professionals in its use.
--- Provides ongoing clinical consultation, training, coaching, and guidance to direct support professionals of the residential program. Ensures all team members are working towards the person's vision of a meaningful and everyday life.
--- Provides training to staff in implementation of the Customized Support Plan, fade requirements, Individualized Support Plan, positive approaches and risk management plan, dietary needs, and medical plans.
--- Carries out all planning, development, prevention and intervention strategies using a restraint free and least restrictive methodology
--- Works collaboratively and openly as part of an interdisciplinary team with Program Supervisors to ensure the implementation of best practices and person directed services.
--- Oversees service provision of the individual supported.
--- Provides 24 hour on-call clinical consultation to direct support professionals and program supervisors during designated periods.
Requirements A Master's degree or above in Social Work, Psychology, Education from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities.
A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education from an accredited college or university and 4 years work experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities.
--- Experience working with people with dual diagnosis is strongly preferred.
--- Must embrace the philosophies of positive, person centered and person directed approaches as well as believing the right of all people to have full and meaningful lives.
--- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
--- Ability to work independently; yet collaborate with clinical team members
--- Ability to effectively present information, write reports and respond to questions from clients, families and staff.
--- Must possess excellent decision making, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
--- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
--- Extensive travel to all locations is required. (Mileage reimbursement provided.)
--- Up to 30% of hours will be non-traditional (i.e., evenings/weekends/early mornings)
--- Must successfully complete pre-employment physical, drug screen, tb test, criminal history, and FBI fingerprinting.
