Job Description:
Job Summary: The Executive Sous Chef is primarily responsible
for serving as the second in command of the kitchen. This
individual will assist the Executive Chef in preparing and
supervising all food production for ala carte dining, all food
outlets, banquets, events, and functions at the club. They will
help supervise all kitchen employees and ensure that all food
quality standards are met within budgetary parameters.
Qualifications: Culinary degree preferred or equivalent combination
of experience and training that provides the required knowledge,
skills, and abilities Exceptional cooking skills and menu planning
Passionate about food with strong communication and leadership
skills Food safety certification Job Tasks/Duties: Ensure all food
production employees are performing to the standards set by the
Executive Chef and Schuylkill Country Club Prepare and instruct
others to prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables,
and other food items for cooking Assume responsibility for quality
of products served Consistently follows standard portion sizes,
cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and
procedures Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen facilities Assist
with completion of inventories, cost control and food waste Assist
with the supervision and training of all kitchen employees
Consistently maintain and check standards for quality, cost, eye
appeal, and flavor Assist in weekly scheduling to ensure proper
staffing levels Assist in the ordering, receiving, storing, and
handling of all food deliveries Assume full responsibility of all
culinary operations in the absence of the Executive Chef Reports
to: Our new Executive Chef Summary: The Salary range for this
position is $45 to $50K. The club also offers professional dues and
education expenses, a benefit package to include PTO, medical
coverage, retirement plan with club match and dental and eye
insurance. The position is available mid February. This is
approximately a 10 month position. The club is closed in January
and February. Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3
