Position Summary: Our Recruiter - Roadside Assistance Contact Center will manage the entire recruiting and hiring process for Penske's Roadside Assistance contact center This group takes calls and provides roadside assistance to truck rental and lease customers across the country, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In this exciting role, you will have the ability to leverage your creativity and drive to help develop strong candidate slates, interview and select top talent, manage the offer process, and support all of the recruiting and system administration. You are a critical component to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process and ensure that new hires are engaged and ready for their start dates. This role will have reporting to the department operations with a strong matrix relationship to Corporate Staffing/HR. Qualified candidates for this role will have at least 3 years of prior recruiting experience, with a strong preference to those who have had high volume hiring experience and have made final hiring decisions. Prior experience demonstrating successful hiring against business needs and deadlines are required. Candidates must demonstrate creativity and the ability to leverage technology for recruiting efficiencies. This position will require moderate local travel to build relationships with schools and local community organizations. There may be some travel in the future to cities across the US to support the recruitment of positions outside of the main office. This position is located at our Corporate offices in a beautiful country setting 7 miles South of Reading, PA which is a convenient commute with ample free and easy parking. Corporate Office Located at: 2675 Morgantown Rd Reading, PA 19607 Major Responsibilities: Workforce Planning, Department Understanding, and Role Expertise • Seek to understand position through interviewing managers, job shadowing of top performers, and participation in operational meetings. • Work with department leadership to identify staffing needs on a monthly and weekly basis, providing updates on staffing activity via presentation and reporting. • Maintains effective working relationship with Operational partners and HR to identify staffing needs and requirements; also to ensure appropriate staffing service levels are met. • Partner with hiring team to determine the effectiveness of the current recruiting strategy, provide updates on active candidates and discuss future hiring needs. • Actively promote a strong candidate/new hire experiences to ensure the promotion of a positive team culture and active engagement for new associates. • Regularly collaborate with Corporate Staffing and Corporate HR to ensure an understanding of company policies, processes, and procedures for hiring. • Ensure that all staffing and hiring activities are conducted in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Sourcing and Recruitment • Proper requisition creation, including attention to detail of job descriptions and job postings follow company standards and procedures. • Actively demonstrate company commitment to diversity and inclusion strategies to ensure strong, diverse candidate slates. • Actively source and recruit candidates via inbound and outbound calls, e-mail, social media, resume/internet databases - providing detail on the job and instructions on how to apply. • Actively identify and participate in relationship building and recruiting activities with local trade schools, community organizations, job fairs, and military outlets to conduct recruiting outreach and lead/application generation. Track results of these activities in terms of candidates and hires to ensure ROI of efforts. • Partner with hiring team to determine the effectiveness of the current recruiting strategy, provide updates on active candidates and discuss future hiring needs. • Manages all candidates in our application system, Taleo Enterprise, in accordance with all company procedures • Oversee relationships with professional search firms that support department. Ensure only those firms used are approved with contracts. New firms use to be done in consultation with Department leadership, HR partner, and Sourcing. Phone Screening, Interviews, and Selection • Ensure all applications for minimally qualified candidates are fully complete, with at least 5 year of work experience per company procedures. • Conduct phone and/or video interviews with qualified candidates, utilizing Penske's selection process and tools as directed. Ensures screening forms are attached to candidate application files. • Conducts and schedules talent and interviews and makes hiring decisions. • The hiring decisions you make have a direct impact on our business operations and external customer success. Recruiting Administration and Coordination • Ensures proper Job Offer handling within Penske's guidelines, utilizing approved offer letters. • Coordinates and initiates activities for background screening, ensure applicants are fully approved prior start date. • Additional responsibilities include managing all aspects of the hiring process including onboarding, setting up new hires for access to company systems (Oracle/CSAR), creating and maintaining new hire files, completing new-hire signature packages (I9), and assisting with new hire classes as needed. • Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications: Qualifications: Experience Requirements • At least 3 years of prior recruiting and hiring work experience. Preferred candidates will have had high volume hiring experience and have made final hiring decisions. • Prior demonstration of hiring against business needs and deadlines are required. • Past experience demonstrating relationship building with internal customers and external organizations. • Creativity in recruiting approaches and the ability to leverage technology for recruiting efficiencies. • Prior responsibility for accurately following processes and procedures required. • Bachelor's degree preferred • Bilingual Spanish verbal and written communication preferred Skill Requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail for documenting/record keeping • Multitasking is necessary, as is the ability to plan and organize workload. Must be flexible to handle pressure and work with interruptions. • Ability to work independently; show initiative, and be a self-starter - but always willing to work within a team. • Advanced time management skills • Intermediate marketing/advertising skills General Requirements • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required. • Willing to work flexible non-traditional hours (evenings and weekends) is required.
