Overview The HR Generalists role within the JSM organization are key role in maintaining our employee-oriented company culture. You will report to the Vice President, Human Resources, and work collaboratively with the entire HR Team members supporting them in their roles. You will be "hands-on" role working closely with employees at all levels of the organization. Primary functions of this position include employee relations, employee engagement initiatives, performance management as well as work with HR Team members with training and development, talent management initiatives, leave and benefits administration, HRIS reporting and employment law/regulations compliance. We will be hiring 2-3 individuals to support our growth. Two (2) of the roles are overall employee relations with a focus on strengthening our engagement & culture. We are focusing on building bench strength in our function so one individual should have over ten (10) years of broad Generalist experience in an entrepreneurial, high growth organization with an emphasis on human assets development. The other could be mid-level in their career with 4-8 years of experience, it would be preferred if they have some experience in entrepreneurial, high growth organizations with some exposure on human assets development. The 3rd role could be an entry level individual who is interested in being a generalist in and preferably all specialties of the Human Resources function. Key Competencies/Areas of Emphasis and Responsibilities: Employee Relations & Performance Management serving as one of the Human Resources points of contact for employee population at all levels. Employee Engagement i nstilling company philosophy, culture, and core values. Training & Development working to keep training programs content relevant to engage, educate and develop employees and new employees through onboarding. Communications are critical to our engagement and an emphasis of your role is to insure we are effective in our communications Talent Management support building the bench is critical to our success and you will need to provide support to our Talent Management Specialist and Line Management in their efforts. Human Resources Specialties lend support where needed to insure we are a cohesive Human Resources Team. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resources discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. All levels of experience will be considered including 10+, 4-8 years and entry level. Self-confident, excellent communication skills, and the ability to act independently. Willingness and ability to work off-shift hours as need exists. Experience in practical or theoretical employee relations Ability to analyze and diagnose problems, develops alternative solutions, and recommend and implement an effective course(s) of action. Excellent judgment in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information. Ability to influence and build relationships with all levels. Communicate effectively one-on-one and small group settings, and foster an open, honest, and trusting environment. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with many competing priorities and deadline. Enjoy working with a HR team as well as be self-directed and able to complete projects independently. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications & HRIS systems.
