Job Description:

The Operator is responsible for completing delegated tasks, handling finished product and scrap with dedication and proficiency to ensure customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on position that includes handling of inventory, proper storage, and shipment transfer of material to warehouse while adhering to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures. This position works closely with the Shift Manager.Receive Assignment From:Shift ManagerEssential Duties and Responsibilities:---Responsible for all activities and operations of the line with Complete understanding of the line and how each section functions and why---Follows any and all procedures that are currently being implemented regarding safety, process and ISO---Notifies correct personnel of issues that may arise other than the ordinary---Notifies the shift leader or line/operations manager of quality and process issues as well as maintenance personal of maintenance problems---Understands sheet faults, how to identify and correct---Performs Silo setup and operation---Performs Full SPC checks every 2 hours---Performs Color change---Cleans colander rolls, glycol and Autosol---Understands materials such as Virgin resins and different grades, Regrind materials and different grades---Understands pulses on regrind stations and how to adjust if approved by manager---Performs Startup and shutdown---Performs Thickness changes---Conducts Yellow tagging procedure and properly filling out paperwork---Understands materials and how they react with each other and the machine---Performs Color changes---Performs Die change---Possesses knowledge of dismantling of melt components and reassembly of melt components, this includes the cassette and UV sections as well as the screw and barrel---Properly cleans colander rolls while running and while line is down---Performs Setting die collision and die leveling---Responsible to perform other duties and activities as directedOperator RequirementsAlong with the duties listed above, employee must have 100% completion is the following categories before being tested to move on to Senior Operator status:---PPF-01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25Must have 75% completion is the following categories before being tested to move on to Senior Operator status:---PPF-26, 27, 28Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
