Human Resources Generalist

Job Description:

LHH is seeking an Human Resources Generalist for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all HR-related functions including onboarding/orientation, employee relations, benefits administration, assisting as a backup for payroll, and more. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $70,000-80,000 per year plus a 15% bonus and includes a comprehensive benefit package, Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan. ***H1B/Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate human resources strategies including compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and employee relations
  • Be a difference maker and leader for a growing operation
  • Serve as the primary point on contact for employee questions
  • Understand the business operations, employee population, and how HR can provide value-added services
  • Investigate and respond to employee relations issues
  • Proactively identify issues and concerns and then create and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and facilitate onboarding training programs and ongoing trainings for all employees for professional development, leadership, and management skills
  • Serve as a liaison between our management staff and all employees by appropriately addressing questions and helping to resolve work-related issues
  • Organize and lead assigned locations by communicating expectations, conducting planning meetings, monitoring work, assessing results, enforcing policies, and ensuring quality and productivity standards are being achieved
  • Evaluate and recommend training resources to support employee development
  • Administer company-wide performance management program QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Management and/or Ethics, or related field is preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience within a manufacturing environment is required
    • SHRM or related certification is preferred
    • Must have experience with safety-related issues and reportables in a warehousing and/or manufacturing setting
    • Must possess the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity while executing responsibilities
    • Must have a core knowledge of and ability to collaborate with all areas within HR such as compensation, employee relations, and benefits packages
    • Must possess strong leadership abilities
    • Must possess the ability to understand business financials and how HR can impact them
    • Must have demonstrated ability to influence and align organizational strategies to maximize talent capability and behaviors
    • Must have experience in partnering with colleagues in all levels of an organization to drive priorities
