Responsibilities - Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data - Produce reports after compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages - Follow established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations and report changes as necessary - Handle specific weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for department heads - Perform other tasks as necessary - Continue employee confidence in payroll operations by keeping sensitive information confidential - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Review source documents with necessary verification - Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll - Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies - Handle all payroll information questions and requests - Handle reconciliation of employee deductions and other relevant liabilities - Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance If interested please send resume on a word document to Jim.Kirk@Roberthalf com - Expertise with internal controls - bi-Monthly Payroll experience preferred - Automated Payroll experience - Strong familiarity with Excel Formulas - Previous experience using accounting software - Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes - Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills - Meet and uphold Certified Payroll detail oriented criteria - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities - 2+ years of strong payroll experience
