Job Description Job Description We are urgently seeking 1–2 Locum Physician Assistants with cardiothoracic surgery experience to join a hospital-based inpatient team in Atlantic City, NJ. This is a high-impact role for PAs ready to provide top-tier care and assist in complex cardiac procedures. Dates of Coverage: ASAP Average Patient Load: OR: 2 cases/day Rounds: 5–12 patients/day (ICU and floor) Consults included Schedule: Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 8–10 hr days in-house Night Call: 6 PM – 6 AM Weekend Call: Friday 6 PM – Monday 6 AM; rounding 7 AM – 12 PM Sat & Sun Varied shifts requiring flexibility EMR/Documentation: Cerner preferred Required Procedures & Duties: Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduits Endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) Chest tube insertions First assist in cardiac surgery Rounding & coordination of care Diagnosing & treating illnesses Ordering & interpreting tests Writing prescriptions & suture removal ? Required Qualifications: NCCPA Certification Active New Jersey License (no waiting) CSR Certification Minimum 2–3 years cardiothoracic surgery experience Proficiency in EVH and first assist in OR required Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Compensation & Perks: $130/hr Mileage/tolls reimbursed Lodging available for the right candidate This is a fast-paced, hands-on locum opportunity with a dynamic cardiothoracic surgery team.
