Description The Employment Supports Supervisor acts as front-line
Supervisor to all assigned staff employed within the Employment
Supports program. Interviews, makes hiring recommendations, and
orients Job Facilitators and Job Coaches. Ensures the success of
supports for individuals supported in accordance with the
organization's policies, the program guidelines, all applicable
licensure regulations and all related laws. Serves as the primary
contact between the organization, funding agents, administrative
and other team members, including the individuals supported and
their representatives to ensure overall satisfaction of
--- Perform functions of program specialist, including development,
monitoring, review, and revision of vocational plans and the
--- Coordinate and develop Vocational Profiles and/or Community
Calendars, in conjunction with support staff and others
--- Develop specialized support plans, in conjunction with the
team, which address psychiatric, behavioral, or other concerns, for
each person served.
--- Facilitate implementation of all supports as specified in
support plans and/or in the Vocational Profile, Work Goals, Job
Analysis, and Job Facilitation Plan.
--- Develop job opportunities consistent with goals.
--- Communicate regularly with team members [i.e., support staff,
family members, advocates, casemanagers, therapists, physicians,
and persons supported].
--- Coordinate referrals for services; coordinate and record
admissions into the Employment Supports Program.
--- Provide training, role modeling, and supervision to support
--- Conduct interviews and screening of new employee candidates;
coordinate and facilitate interviews between candidates and person
--- Supervise and coordinate support staff using team-building
approaches and a participatory management style.
--- Develop staff schedules, and include in those schedules all
direct staff support hours, staff participation in team meetings,
training, and supervision.
--- Conduct performance evaluations with support staff according to
--- Review, verify, and approve employee and payroll documents for
--- Review, track, and coordinate referrals for services through
the admissions process; develop and maintain data, permanent
records, emergency personal information related to people served by
--- Participate in community organizations that promote the goals
of the Employment Supports Program.
--- Maintain program documentation through database and other
Requirements Bachelor degree from accredited college/university
plus three (3) years of direct service experience in a social
service organization (or equivalent combination), over 18 years of
age, valid driver's license and transportation. Experience in an
program OR with Staffing is preferred.
--- Ability to comprehend access and utilize electronic medium and
various computer programs. Ability to effectively present
information, write reports and respond to questions from clients,
families and staff.
--- Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical concepts
--- Ability to think and react quickly in crisis situations.
--- Experience with transitions services into employment services
Preference given to those candidates who have knowledge and
experience within Customized Employment.
Additionally, preference given to those candidates who currently
possess ACRE certification or a CESP. Discovery Certification
and/or Job Development Certification highly desired.
