Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Full-Time Recruiting Assistant for our Corporate Campus. This role will be responsible for assisting the Penske staffing team with finding and interviewing candidates that best meet our business needs.

In this hourly role, the recruiting assistant will primarily support processes around candidate sourcing, application screening, and process expediting. With direction from the Staffing Team, you will source candidates using company and external resume databases. Upon finding candidates, the staffing assistant will contact candidates via phone and email to inform them of the position, conduct a brief phone screening and direct and assure they formally apply to the Penske job opening.

This position is located at our Corporate Campus, which is 7 miles south of the City of Reading located at 2675 Morgantown Rd., Reading, PA 19607.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


-Utilize recruitment resources including job boards, social media, job fairs, networking events, and traditional canvassing methods to fill open positions
-Assist Recruiter in posting jobs via job boards, college career sites, state workforce sites, etc.
-Screen resumes from databases and applications from Penske's Taleo system to identify candidates meeting minimum qualifications.
-Phone screen candidates to determine the most qualified and promising applicants according to minimum and preferred qualifications
-Maintain accurate records on applicant status and provides timely responses to all applicants
-Assist in providing offer letters and initiating/communicating the background screening process for selected candidates.
-Support company-wide corporate recruiting programs (referrals, sign-on bonus programs, badge processing, etc.)
-Support all incoming recruiting department candidate inquiries and messages.
-Engage in high volume phone activity required to fill assigned open requisitions
-Maintain recruitment database to ensure application, interview notes and credentials have been accurately entered into the database.
-Develop and implement creative plans to source hourly consultants
-Complete and review administrative paperwork accurately and expeditiously.
-Interact with internal and external customers in a tactful, congenial, and professional manner
-Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

- Associate's degree equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum one year related experience required.
- Bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish written and verbal communication a plus
- Prior demonstrated high-touch customer service and follow-up experience required.
- Candidates with prior recruiting/recruiting support highly preferred
- Prior Taleo or other applicant tracking system experience highly preferred.
- Prior experience in mining candidate resume databases and phone screening applicants is highly preferred.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Word and Excel, and must be internet savvy.
- A sense of humor is helpful, as this can be a stressful job with competing priorities at any given time
- Qualified candidates must be effective communicators who are not afraid of the phone.
- Candidates who are highly technically savvy (internet, cloud base applications, good with internet data research, cell phone/text messaging, etc.) are highly preferred
- Candidates who are Social Media savvy are preferred
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
