Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider in the telecommunications
industry, is seeking an IP Engineer to join their team. As an IP
Engineer, you will be part of the Network Engineering department
supporting various technical teams. The ideal candidate will have
strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a
proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align
successfully with the organization's goals. Job Title: IP Engineer
Location: Chester, New York Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000 What's
the Job? Support planning, testing, and implementing IP and
Transport networks for High-Speed Data (HSD), VoIP, and Video
customers. Document test plans to certify Cisco IOS for various
Cisco infrastructure routers. Perform network maintenance,
diagnostics, and provide technical support to cross-organizational
teams. Prepare test cases and implement transport topologies to
certify DWDM and CWDM designs. Work on both amplified and
unamplified network configurations, including interop testing for
new optics. What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in computer science or
IP Networking, or equivalent experience. 2-3 years of experience in
IP network design. Working knowledge of protocols including IP,
MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, and BGP. Ability to learn new technologies and
troubleshoot IP and transport networks. Technical certifications
such as Cisco CCNA and Ciena are highly desirable. What's in it for
