This position demands a responsible, skilled professional who can commit to safe and timely driving within designated local routes, enabling unparalleled service efficiency that aligns with our trusted reputation in the industry. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to various local destinations within the Northeastern United States. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance issues. Coordinate with the logistics team to manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently. Maintain accurate driving and delivery records, adhering to all federal and state regulations. Handle documentation necessary for goods transportation and delivery confirmation. Provide excellent customer service during freight handling at customer sites and ensure compliance with all client delivery standards. Adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols to minimize risk on the road. Ability to operate a tractor-trailer proficiently and safely. Strong organizational skills to effectively manage delivery schedules. Knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation laws. Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with local routes. Good physical condition, able to manage loading and unloading tasks when required. Effective communication skills necessary for interacting with dispatch and customers.
