Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in the field of
non-hazardous waste management in the Northeastern U.S., is seeking
a dedicated Manager of Hauling Operations in our Transportation &
Logistics department. This role involves overseeing daily hauling
operations, ensuring efficient service delivery that complies with
governmental regulations and meets company standards for safety and
sustainability. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership
skills, with a keen focus on operational optimization, team
management, and innovative logistics planning. Manage day-to-day
operations of waste hauling and ensure compliance with all
governmental and environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
Lead, train, and develop a team of drivers and operational staff,
promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and efficiency. Coordinate
logistics and routing to optimize service delivery and resource
utilization. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance
operational effectiveness, incorporating new technologies and
methodologies. Monitor and manage operational expenses and
implement cost-saving measures. Ensure high levels of customer
satisfaction and address operational issues and complaints
promptly. Prepare reports on operations and productivity to be
reviewed by senior management. Strong leadership and
decision-making skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking
ability In-depth knowledge of the waste management industry's
regulations and challenges Experience with logistics and route
management software Ability to handle stress and make critical
decisions in a fast-paced environment Proficient in MS Office and
other relevant computer applications Strong communication and
