Are you looking for an opportunity to analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems to determine causes of component failures? If so, this is the role for you. As a Network Administration Engineer you will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support for automation systems in a cGMP regulated Vaccines manufacturing facility. You will also provide systems and network administration support within an operational technology (OT) environment. You will evaluate and develop technology, plan and implement modifications and upgrades to the OT network architecture and related control systems, while providing daily administration and technical support in these areas. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Provide daily operational support of OT network and related systems; troubleshoot and correct issues. Support the optimization of the OT network architecture by leading design improvements, directing system installation and executing regular updates. Interface with OT functions in central engineering and peer sites to align network system support best practices, procedures (SOPs), and system documentation for the site. Develop and maintain network system validation life-cycle documentation and implement validation plans. Support and optimize the administration of user accounts within the OT environment. Interface with users, peers, and management at site and with central (corporate) automation function to ensure appropriate input and integration of local and corporate standards. Lead investigations related to networked systems, conduct RCA's, identify and implement CAPAs. Manage and support capital projects as the primary automation network resource from initial design through commissioning: serve as the interface between site stakeholders and contracted support, review and approve vendor deliverables (proposals, drawings, documents, etc), manage the activities of on-site project resources; define detailed plan necessary to complete approved projects on schedule and within budget; support testing and commissioning activities; ensure the deliverable is technically and functionally correct. Stay current with industry developments and trends; aspects include systemsand networking technology/design, account administration, data integrity, disaster recovery, and cyber security. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS/BA in Engineering or Computer Science with 7 years of relevant job-related experience. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience working with virtualization (servers, VLANS). Experience with Archestra and OSI-PI suite of products. Knowledge in firewall management, OT/IT integration and cyber security standards. Knowledge in current standards for computer system validation. Experience working in a regulated, change management environment. Experience with computerized system validation (CSV) practices as applied to the pharmaceutical industry. Provide leadership to generate options, prioritize solutions, and select and implement decisions. Interact well with peers, subordinates, and senior personnel in multidisciplinary teams involving engineering and operational disciplines. Experience with the design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting within server-based control platforms. Experience with the maintenance and optimization of automation networks. Experience administrating accounts within a domain environment. Experience performing network and system upgrades software, patching, hardware, build outs, firmware, etc. Why GSK?
