The Service Technical Writer will assist with the design and development of comprehensive and accurate Standard Repair Times (SRT) to meet CNHi's worldwide dealers and customers' needs. This position is a project team member for new and significant updates for timesheets and has a thorough knowledge of CNHi equipment, organization, and processes. SRT activity includes but is not limited to the timing of processes, creation and editing of timesheets, sharing information with Warranty and Technical Support counterparts, and aiding CNHi dealers with finding and using the correct codes.


Participate in team planning activities by developing estimated hours and resource requirements to ensure completion of projects as scheduled.

Assist in the development of SRT information including, but not limited to timesheets and actual repair times. Timesheets are to be completed by dates given by the platforms to meet GPD requirements.

Assist in developing and authoring timesheets for our global markets to communicate the repair schedules for CNHi products effectively.

Assist in the production of timesheet information that conforms to CNHi procedures. Timesheets must be accurate to decrease warranty cost and risk of litigation.

Ensure timesheets meet requirements by complying with all current standards and company policies concerning service and documentation. Create rolled-up codes to enable dealers to enter their Warranty claims in an expedient fashion.

Keep informed of product launch team objectives to assure individual assignments are aligned with product launch plans, so SRT requirements are fulfilled.

Work with Technical Authors to align Service Manual procedures with the SRTs. Attend alignment meetings and communicate regularly with Technical Author to achieve alignment in a timely manner.


Associates degree with 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics with mobile equipment

OR High School degree with 4+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics with mobile equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of product design and functionality

Technical and functional understanding of subsystems that contribute to the performance of agricultural and construction equipment

Technical writing experience preferred

2+ years of mechanical work experience with agricultural or industrial machinery.

BS/BT degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Agricultural or related degree (Preferred not required).
