Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

What you'll be doing...

As a Materials Planning Analyst, you are responsible for;

  • Data mining and manipulation using SAP and MS Excel, MS Excel or MS SQL.
  • Devising Lead times for different product group and controlling inventory parameters.
  • Aggregate planning and master scheduling in order to level load the plant optimizing the trade off between supply chain, operational and financial goals.
  • Coordinating work among the planners when it comes to level loading the plant.
  • Back up for the planners when they are not available.
  • Working on daily basis with warehouse and production teams.
  • Working on continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, work collaboratively with your peers and train others if needed.
  • Self-motivation - be able to work under pressure, be flexible, reliable and able to deliver results according to specific targets in direct support of departmental goals and objectives.

What your background should look like:

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • High Analytical and data mining skills with the ability to analyze, diagnose and advise solutions in a closed loop system and to support decision making.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience required.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • APICS Certificate or working towards it is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, work collaboratively with your peers and train others if needed.
  • Self-motivation - be able to work under pressure, be flexible, reliable and able to deliver results according to specific targets in direct support of departmental goals and objectives.
