PA 17821- Pediatric Van Driver, Transport Driver or Bus Driver
needed for immediate opening at Pediatric Specialty Care Medical
Day at Danville to pick-up and drop-off our kids daily.
Shifts: Mondays-Fridays (split days)
- Afternoon shift
NO Weekends & Holidays required
Ideal position for a School Bus Driver, Nurse Aide, Home Health
Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA) who has experiencing driving
patients in a wheelchair accessible van.
Drivers License & Clean Driving Record required
- Must be 21
years or older
Drivers assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our kids
by being responsible for safely transporting the kids from their
homes to the daycare in the morning for pick up and from the
daycare to their homes for drop off in the afternoon. There is an
RN in the van with the driver to care for the kids, if needed,
during the transports.
- Drive responsibly and safely in
order to ensure passenger safety and minimize damage or excessive
wear and tear on facility vehicle; convey any mechanical problems
identified with facility vehicle to the Transportation Services
Coordinator as soon as possible.
vehicle is in safe operating condition (e.g. fuel, wash, tires, and
inspection); notify Transportation Services Coordinator when
vehicle needs service.
all times with the State Vehicle and Traffic Laws, regulations
contained in Article 19A, and company Transportation
passengers are safely assisted and secured in the vehicle before
departing for destination.
safe transport of resident, personal belongings, and medical
equipment to destination, as requested by resident.
- High School
Diploma or equivalent required
driver’s license with good driving record
- Must be 21
years or older
related experience in a similar role strongly preferred
of equipment used in long-term care (e.g., lifts, wheelchairs, Geri
chairs, and scales)
in a long term care or hospital setting is strongly
and First Aid certifications
patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as
the willingness to handle difficult residents
Pediatric Specialty Care expects all
