The Student Wellness Promotion Coordinator will develop, implement
and evaluate health promotion programs and services to address a
range of student health topics (e.g., alcohol and other drugs,
sleep, stress management, mindfulness). They will design wellness
education strategies to enhance the well-being of individual
students, student groups, and the campus community, and collaborate
with campus partners to assess students' needs and develop
prevention and response strategies.
This position is donor-funded through May, 2026, and is renewable
pending additional funding. It is a priority for Bucknell to secure
funding to ensure that students receive ongoing support in this
area.
Job Duties:
Primary job responsibilities include:
-Create and facilitate health promotion educational programs,
presentations, materials and awareness campaigns for residence
halls, student leaders and classrooms
-Design, implement and evaluate educational programs and workshops
on topics including but not limited to general wellness, alcohol
and other drugs, stress management, sexual health, sleep and rest,
movement, hygiene, financial wellness, and social relationships
-Create a peer to peer wellness program. Recruit, train and advise
peer coaches and peer mentors
-Produce and distribute monthly "Installments" wellness newsletter
by developing and collecting content from wellness partners across
the University and collaborating with University colleagues
-Partner with departments, including but not limited to the
Counseling and Student Development Center, Student Health, Student
Conduct and Conflict Resolution, Residence Education and Fraternity
and Sorority Affairs, for wellness programs and campaigns
-Provide training and consultation to student groups, staff and
faculty to enhance their capacity as partners in students'
wellness
-Administer, analyze, apply and share assessments related to
students' wellness and well-being
-Participate on Divisional and University committees
-Attend and actively participate in office, departmental and
divisional staff meetings and retreats.
-Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of two years of professional experience in health promotion
and prevention education; graduate experience may be included.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information clearly
and accurately in writing and verbally.
Excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking and
administrative skills.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Ability to take initiative and direction, managing multiple
projects at once.
Capacity to accommodate occasional evening and weekend work
hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in health education, public health, higher
education, student affairs or another related field.
Experience with NASPA's Certified Peer Educator program or a
comparable peer education or wellness coaching program.
Work Type:
This is a full-time, year round, benefits eligible position.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all
candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of
submission of the application.
Salary Range:
This is a Staff Exempt position with a hiring range of
$43,280-54,100 (E06). The offer rate will be based on a review of
the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the
position, internal equity, and our overall compensation
philosophy.
