Get out of the warehouse heat and join our amazing Vista family We provide all the training you need to help individuals with Autism have fun and successful days on our beautiful campus in Hershey, PA JOIN US AT OUR JOB FAIR AT THE HARRISBURG HILTON 2-7PM JULY 28, 2022 SIGN ON BONUSES PROVIDED FOR ALL POSITIONS SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM SUMMARY The Behavior Technician (---BT---), under the direction the Supervisor, Teacher, Behavior Consultant, Therapist, assigned designee, or Clinical Director, executes the written plan for clients in the classroom. The Behavior Technician also fosters relationships with all internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS --- Fully implements all assigned client plans and programs with fidelity across school and community environments, utilizing the proper protective equipment when necessary --- Accurately completes appropriate documentation requirements related to daily in-school services --- Completes high quality session notes, and maintains ethical and professional relationship with families and community partners --- Provides support to clients through Activities of Daily Living (e.g. self-care routines and chores) and swimming activities --- Collects, documents, and/or enters data or other relevant information pertaining to client behavior, goals, and prescribed programming --- Provides coaching to all team members in a supportive and collaborative manner, and receives and implements coaching from others to improve performance --- Conducts all interactions with staff, clients, and internal and external customers in positive, professional, and caring manner --- Completes other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position does not have supervisory responsibility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The following positions or frequent movements are typical of the job: sitting, walking, running, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, often for extended periods of the workday. Assignment may require the ability to physically move clients during possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment, and may require employees to wear protective apparel and equipment when necessary. The position requires that an individual be able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively. Job requirements may change frequently. The ability to understand and carry out detailed, involved, instructions is mandatory. The incumbent must be able to travel to multiple locations as needed, when needed to conduct organizational business. Subject to inside environmental conditions. EXPECTED SCHEDULE This is a year-round, full-time or part-time position. Program operation days and hours of work are determined by the EIBS program calendar and will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm. During scheduled school break weeks, 8 work hours are assigned to fulfill regulatory training requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS --- Minimum High School Diploma required --- Experience working with children --- Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches Training required KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS --- Associate---s or Bachelor---s degree in Human Services field highly desired --- Minimum 1 year experience working in Human Services field or school setting highly desired --- Knowledge or previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders highly desired --- Previous experience or knowledge delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services to individuals with Autism highly desired --- Current First Aid and CPR Training preferred Company Description Vista Autism Services provided the following inclusive hiring information: We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status or disability status.
