Job Description:
Looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 3rd
shift.Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production
and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment in
compliance with all safety proceduresSupport the installation of
new equipment, support and implementation of preventive maintenance
programAssist the machine operators with training or
troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtimeEnsure all repairs
are documentedKeep management informed of any maintenance
issuesComplete work orders as assignedDedicate effort to safety as
we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as
they arriveFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and
work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food
safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsExhibit the values and
ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and
sound judgmentAdhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies
and procedures and report any nonconformityAttend required
training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis
and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods
(SQF)Work schedule includes on call and weekend shiftsKnowledge,
Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company
computer systems, specifically SAPKnowledge of machine shop
equipmentKnowledge of pneumatics, solenoid valves, and air
cylindersSkill in proficient computer usageAble to communicate
clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writingAble to work
in collaboration effectively and foster good teamworkAble to follow
directions and meet deadlinesAble to perform all required
preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance
proceduresAble to perform task and duties without constant
supervisionAble to understand the basic types of controls used in
the plant and how they affect the processAble to perform minor
electrical work (i.e. change pump motors and diagnose motor control
problems)Able to use standard maintenance toolsAble to perform
routine repairs and minor projects from planning to
installationAble to perform routine preventive maintenance on a
variety of equipment, identify any abnormal conditions, and
maintain appropriate recordsAble to perform basic welding for
repair and fabrication (mig/tig/stick)Able to follow process
control computer variables, schematics, and diagnose system
problemsAble to assist other mechanics on more complicated repairs
in a safe and useful mannerMust be able to read, write, and speak
