Armstrong World Industries has a job opportunity for a Logistics Transportation Analyst to be located in Lancaster, PA. The Logistics Transportation Analyst is responsible for proactively facilitating the achievement of the organization's transportation services goals. Additionally, this role will serve as the key transportation liaison to the organization, including the development and implementation of action plans supporting service, logistics, and transportation strategies.
What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating effective transportation provider relationships to meet customer shipping and delivery requirements
  • Developing appropriate KPIs for service provider performance measurements
  • Supporting performance reviews with transportation providers
  • Developing and executing procurement strategies in support of a Core Carrier Program
  • Supporting the company with all modes of transportation, including TL, LTL, small pack, courier, IML, FCL, LCL, Air, and the administration of all transportation functions
  • Coordinating methods and use of transportation systems to perform accurate freight rating and accrual processes
  • Ensuring carrier contracts support the lowest costs and superior service initiatives
  • Strengthening partnerships with transportation providers delivering win-win results
  • Providing backup support for the SAP LES freight rate management system
  • Assisting in the execution of all aspects of freight programs, including rate establishment, maintenance, and communication
  • Assisting Finance with transportation guidance for forecasting, PPV, budget building, and strat-plan development
  • As needed, support the business with Shipping Loss and Damage Claims
  • Coordinating and leading process improvement activities to improve transport delivery services and improve cost
  • 10% overnight travel required
    What will make you successful:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or other related fields
    • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of related Logistics or Supply chain experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and concisely
    • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
    • Proven ability to work under pressure
    • Excellent in desktop software applications, including Microsoft Office
    • Ability to interact with all levels with customers, 3rd party providers, and internal stakeholders
      Desired Qualifications:
      • Advanced degree in a related field
      • Previous SAP experience
