STV's Intern program is an important part of STV's strategic plan for growth. - Our managers work closely with students to prepare and evaluate them for full time STV employment upon graduation. In addition to meaningful work on many world-class projects, we offer STV's Intern Development Program to our interns to help them network with one another, to learn some critical professional skills, and to have fun. STV is seeking an Electrical/Communications Systems Intern Student for our Transportation and Infrastructure/COE Group division in our Douglassville, PA office. - This position will work with senior and junior designers to assist in the completion of project construction documents for various projects. -The Transportation and Infrastructure/COE Group provides design services to both public agencies and private entities. Major projects typically include transportation, commercial, aviation, federal, and more. Responsibilities:

• Work under direction of senior staff.
• Preparing drawings, using BIM programs, such as Revit, 2D CAD, Microstation and others detailing:
  • Device layouts
  • Equipment layout
  • Riser/Block Diagrams
  • Connection Diagrams
  • Schedules
  • Develop engineers cost estimates.
  • Format reports and specifications.
  • Assist in file management of project electronic documents.
  • Client presentation materials preparation.
  • Attend visits to project sites to gather relevant site data necessary to develop project design documents.
  • Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the company's organizational structure.
  • Utilizes current company-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments including device layout and calculation software.
  • Specific activities vary by assignment.
