Rehab Technician

Assist in developing and maintaining Rehabilitation Aide and Therapy Department standards
Reviews therapy department policies, procedures, and manuals at least annually, and participates in making recommended changes as needed
Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required
Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to appropriate personnel as required
Prepares treatment area for patients as directed by licensed therapists.
Performs daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the department and equipment as specified by policy.
Informs the Rehab Director of any equipment in need of repair.
Performs clerical duties as assigned which include but are not limited to; - answering telephones, copying, filing, faxing, emailing and maintaining clinical records and therapy files.
Works under the direction of the Rehab Director to assist with the scheduling of staff.
Works under the direction of the - licensed therapists to assist with scheduling of patients and transportation to and from the therapy department.
Works in conjunction with the OTR/RPT to assist in obtaining adaptive devices, prosthetics, orthotics or other equipment from outside vendors. - This may include obtaining the necessary paperwork, scheduling appointments, copying, emailing and faxing as asked.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, -a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• A physical examination and/or evidence from a physician indicating freedom of communicable disease to be available upon employment.
  
• Must be in -good physical and mental health.
