Maintenance Supervisor Position Job Type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday
Friday 4pm-12amClover Farms Dairy has been in business for over 80 years bringing fresh pasteurized milk from Pennsylvania dairy farms to our local community! We are looking for a motivated maintenance supervisor to oversee the maintenance department and serve as mechanical support for our production team in the manufacturing plant.The typical day for our maintenance supervisor requires communicating with the maintenance manager and the plant management teams to coordinate repairs, triage/assign work orders for repairs to be made on the manufacturing floor, keeping inventory of spare parts, and maintaining continuous operations of bottling and packaging lines during production. Our maintenance technicians are extremely important to our processes at the manufacturing facility in Reading, PA and in this role, as maintenance supervisor, you will promote efficiency and competency of the industrial maintenance team by leading maintenance technicians and assigning tasks.ResponsibilitiesComply and follow all Federal, State, Local, Industry and company policies, ordinances, standards, and procedures such as use of Personal Protective Equipment, Lock out/Tag out.Triage and assign tasks based on written work orders and emergency maintenance pages.Abide by and enforce all company policies, including but not limited to SOPs, GMPs, and safety.Be responsible for executing all required SQF/HACCP/Quality policies and properly fill out the accompanying documentation.Troubleshoot/Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, and testing equipment.Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at facilityParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives in order to increase platform performance.Schedule Contractors; maintain schedules, project plans and timelines.Assist training for both Supervisors and maintenance associates and ensures that preventative maintenance procedures are in effect and are being performed on a timely basis.Facilitates and delegates inspections, as necessary.Verify correct inventory procedures were followed. Order parts, supplies or tools to accomplish all jobs.Motivated and self-directed to complete workload assigned in a timely manner.Maintain timesheets, schedules, and assist in arranging coverage for maintenance team.Other tasks as assigned by the maintenance manager and/or plant management.Desired SkillsPrior knowledge and experience with reading blueprints, mechanical manuals, electrical systems, plumbing systems, welding, and/or machinery repair. (Mandatory)Knowledge and experience in a dairy manufacturing environment (Preferred)Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Maintain a good track records of punctuality and reliability.Ammonia refrigeration RETA CARO or CIRO certification and HAZWOPPER experience desired. (Preferred)Five years of experience in facilities industrial maintenance with high-speed manufacturing equipment; electrical 483 phase, PLC inputs/outputs, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment. (Preferred)Two years of supervisory experience in industrial maintenance.
